1/6/12 Upper Galveston Bay

The fishing has been very spotty. I have been on them one day and the next day the will not eat on bite. I fished on 1/6 with party of 3 and caught over 30 trout. It was a long day of grinding. We fished from 7am to 3pm. We caught over 30 fish but only those keepers. We threw everything we had at them. Corkies plastics, maniac mullets, We caught a few fish on everything not one thing caught more fish then the other. We also caught fish from 2 feet of water all the way up to 7 feet of water. With the warmer winter and think the fish are just scattered everywhere, I will be off the water the next few week and be back in February fishing. Until next time take care. TIGHT LINES!! Here are a few pics from scouting trips and the guided trips,

Upper and West Bay Galveston Bay 12/28-12/29

Took a few weeks off to do the family thing for Christmas for both sides of the family. It was great holidays for us. But the fishing has been good for me we have been averaging fair number of trout but the flounder fishing has been great. We have been catching flounder everywhere we fish. On 12/28 I had a party of 2. We fished west galveston bay and caught over 20 trout with 10 flounder to kick in. It was excellent day as we threw limtruese assassins on 1/4 oz jigs heads over 4-6 feet of water on mud/shell mix. They wanted it slow and on the bottom. We probably caught over 20 flounder on 12/28. On 12/29 I had a party of 3 and  fished upper galveston bay and located a solid trout bite over shell mud. They were in 5-7 foot of water and hungry. We also threw limtruese and pumpkin/Chartruese at them. I think we boxed 24 trout to 24 inches on the 29th and were off the water by 11am. Good morning
